Sick Week

Provinces and regions of the Philippines

Well, what can I say? Too much food is bad for you. πŸ™‚ I know…so will no eat to much food, will just drink πŸ™‚ hehe. The weather here in the Philippines is a little dramatic lately. It made me feel drowsy all the time. No time to think at all. I got two interviews today, doing what I love – writing. πŸ™‚ Even if you don’t want to agree…I’m still sick, but will be writing again later. πŸ™‚ tudu loo….

Which reminds me…13 days to go and it’s the royal wedding…:)

Saw this map of the Philippines in the media gallery so I thought, why not? πŸ™‚ hehehe…later friends.

Tea as an Elixir of Youth

I love coffee as much as tea, but with the current hype on health and fitness, I tend to sway towards tea drinking in the afternoon or before I go to bed (yes coffee soothes me sometimes that I drink a cup before I go to sleep). Now widely popularized, GreenΒ TeaΒ comes from the Camellia sinensis plant specie. Same goes with Oolong and Black Tea. Who wouldn’t want a possible cancer-free life? Of course, that’s just one of tea’s benefits. The list is actually getting longer as researchers continue to discover the potentials of tea to help one’s health.

Two days ago, I watched a video on how tea can help make your skin look even better.

Other than the amazing benefits of tea, do you know that in some countries, preparing it is considered as an art? Here’s a video about Japan’s Tea Ceremony. I don’t know, but I find this video a little enchanting to watch. Probably because of the geisha.

Highly Rated Hamburg Steak

My friend Abi and her sister Jashna sent me an email via facebook today. About what? Food.:) Since it was highly recommended, I would then say it must be good. I watched the video and during the process, I can’t help but salivate. After watching, my brain kept on telling me to make one…make one tomorrow….make one!!!! And since it appears contagious, I want to contaminate you too…:) here goes:

What I like about this video is the simplicity and ease (at least it appears to be). Will get back to you soon about it…:) hopefully, post images of the actual dish…

Taking the Time Off

Being a freelancer can be stressful at times. And to getaway from the bro-haha home job that I have, I decided to visit my friend Ivy. She was originally from Cebu (can’t wait to feature that place soon) but lives in Bacolod now because her kind hubby is from there. After getting a confirmation reply from her that I can disturb her peace and quiet, I packed my bag (note to self buy a new one), dumped the mangoes (3 kilos) and bananas in my other bag, rode the tricycle to the terminal and off I went to the beautiful City of Smiles. The Philippines is an archipelago, thus going to Bacolod City mean riding a ferry across. ARGH! Weathers can be tricky sometimes. I expected a peaceful ride (the boat rocked and I felt myself wanting to throw up several times), yeah right! πŸ™‚ So enough chitchat, lemme show you my photos πŸ™‚
